The College Card Chronicles: An Adventure in 52 Cards
It was one of those rainy evenings during college: the lights had gone out, and so had the WiFi. Nothing else could be done but gather a few friends in the common room, each clutching a deck of cards. "Let's play something fun!" said Aryan, shuffling his pack of playing cards designed by TMPC.
"Two for Lucky Draw?" said Nisha, looking sideways at her best friend Rahul. "How about a bridge?" quipped Vikram, ever willing for a challenge.
Meanwhile, Aryan had managed to procure one deck of cards with jokers, saying, "Let's cement this night in memory. We'll start with poker, leaving the last round for the ace of spades challenge."
The Definite Card Night
The first game of card night was strictly poker. A game filled with adrenaline, betting kept on making every person move, shifting his or her weight. After rounds of poker, they went with new decks and simple games and even clashed against one another in furious competition for a super-intense two-player card game.
As heavier strategy games were initiated, Rahul said, "Trumps card games let us see who has the best hand." Skill, strategy, and a lick of luck-things they all loved.
The Ace of Spades Mystery
As the night wore on, Aryan, invitingly holding the ace of spades, turned the game around enticingly: "Let's play poker-a game of poker, but the one who wins chooses the next challenge."
There was the anticipation in the air. Everyone was quite aware of the designation of the ace of spades card in the games. Round after round, they kept playing poker against one another, testing their skills and luck in the card contest. All intellectual battles of wits, bluffing, and strategy.
The Final Challenge
By midnight, the game was down to Nisha and Vikram. The rest cheered on as the two faced off, card games between the two being quite a rare treat. With the last joker in play, Nisha made her move and gleefully declared victory.
A wild cheer erupted. "Best card night ever!" someone shouted. "We should do this every weekend!"
Play It Online
The next day, still intoxicated by the glory of the last eventful night, the friends began looking for online versions of the new additions. They came across TMCARDS, a manufacturer of trendy playing card decks and customizable cards. Thus were born the hurried orders for their personalized decks with the college name and custom artwork.
The common room was never the same after that night; every weekend turned into a card night where card games and new types of decks were learned.
